Latest: The second trailer for Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet, was released on Thursday, October 12.
Magical: A musical fantasy film from Warner Bros. To be released. Pictures in theaters December 15, 2023.

The film focuses on a young Willy – a character from Roald Dahl’s popular 1964 book Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Wonka is the third film based on the book – in 1971, Gene Wilder played Willy in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and in 2015 Johnny Depp played Willy in the film adaptation of Tim Burton’s book.

The trailer begins with Hugh’s character – an Oompa Loompa named Lofty – captured by Timothy’s Willy – where they meet for the first time.

He is seen running away to steal a bowl of milk and white chocolate – and ends up in an elaborate trap that ensnares him.

“I got you!” He heard what Timothy had to say.

“So you’re the funny guy following me,” says Willie, looking at him through the clear bottle.

“Funny guy?” How dare you, Willy says. “So you know I’m a pretty respectable size for an Oompa Loompa.”

Luffy hits his glass prison while Willy says in confusion, “Oompa what now?”

“Actually, in Lombardy I am seen as a big man. They call me noble”, I told him.

“Sorry,” Willy says apologetically.

Alas! “I got you!” Timothy is heard saying in the opening scene of the trailer
First date: “You’re the funniest guy I’ve ever been after,” Willie says, looking at him in a clear bottle.
Upset: “Funny little guy?” How dare you, Willy says. “So you know I’m a pretty respectable size for an Oompa Loompa.”

In the next scene, Timothy is wearing a top hat – Willy’s iconic look – as he climbs onto the box and places his cane and a flag emblazoned with a “W” on top.

He opens the gates of the city in the scene and announces: “Ladies and gentlemen, greetings to all, my name is Willy Wonka.”

“You see, I’m a wizard,” the objects around him floated in the air.

Then he said, “Prepare to be amazed,” but took out the teapot, much to the chagrin of an old woman.

A little girl was seen laughing in the background of that moment.

‘…Inventor… May I introduce you to the wild and wonderful Willy Wonka. Please don’t make me say that again… and the chocolate maker.

Lightning-shaped chocolates appeared.

The girl reappeared, shouting: “The best chocolate in the world”.

Residents of many cities have tried and loved the chocolate candy.

While the townspeople celebrate Willy with gusto, several of his fittest men plan to stop him.

“It’s very good. Anyone can pay. Until… said a moustachioed man in a suit, unable to pronounce the word poor.

A man dressed as a soldier finishes the sentence by saying “poor man,” causing the man in the suit to vomit.

“He doesn’t like it when people say ‘poor,’” explained another, and the man in the suit vomited again.
