Orlando, Florida. – SeaWorld Orlando is set to redefine thrill-seeking with the highly anticipated arrival of “Penguin Trek” in spring 2024.
Designed to take riders on a thrilling journey across the wondrous expanse of Antarctica, Penguin Trek promises a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

The action-packed ride features a snowmobile-themed ride that the park says will immerse riders in a penguin research expedition. Thrill seekers can look forward to two thrilling launches and a maze of twists and turns as they move along the 3,020-foot in-and-out track. The roller coaster reaches speeds of up to 70 km/h, providing an adrenaline rush that leaves riders breathless.
Once aboard the Penguin Trek, passengers will take on the role of intrepid explorers and embark on a thrilling expedition through the icy desert. The adventure begins with a grueling visit to an ice cave and then intensifies as riders head to the roller coaster’s open-air track.

What sets Penguin Trek apart is its stunning ending. When the ship docks, guests won’t find themselves in a simulated penguin colony—they’ll be in the middle of an actual penguin habitat at SeaWorld Orlando. This unprecedented experience allows visitors to get up close and personal with these majestic birds and adds an unforgettable animal experience to the thrill of the ship.
The Family Roller Coaster is suitable for riders 42 to 77 inches tall, SeaWorld said.
This will be the eighth roller coaster the theme park has added to its exciting portfolio.
World-class design goes to Balliger & Mabillard, B&M, renowned design firms and manufacturers known for excellence in roller coaster engineering. The company helped design one of the park’s other iconic attractions, Pipeline: The Surf Coaster, which opened earlier this year.
A new roller coaster is now being built near the Antarctic Empire Penguin Park.
