Lula received authorization for joint exercises with 294 EU military personnel in Brazil.

President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva issued a decree authorizing the entry of 294 soldiers from the United States Armed Forces into Brazilian territory for joint exercises. This phase 5 study has been approved for publication (19).

The operation, known as Joint Operations and Rotation Exercise (Basic), is conducted annually in the division with the North American Army. In 2022, for example, Brazilian military personnel will participate in exercises with our United Nations.

Now, “Core 23” will be implemented in Para and Amapa. Secondly, the military commander in the North will be the first when the exercise is combined with the North American exercise in the Amazonian lands.

The exercise aims to “improve the group’s operational capabilities, maintain historical data between nations, and enhance integration and cooperation in bilateral exercises,” the exercise said.

The exercise will be held from November 20 to November 29. In addition to authorizing military entry into the country, the government allows EU troops to enter Brazil with weapons and other equipment.

Nucleus was announced by President Dilma Rousseff in 2015 through the Brazil-USA Defense Cooperation Agreement.
